Camp Wilton 2013 Applications Available
OPWDD is pleased to share that Camp Wilton, a favorite recreational opportunity with the individuals we serve, is preparing for another summer of great activities!
About the Camp
Located in the Capital Region, Camp Wilton hosts approximately 500 people every summer. The five-day camp sessions are held every Monday through Friday with 70-80 individuals participating each week. The camp’s counselors are experienced with over 80% returning for multiple sessions. Every attempt is made to accommodate each individual’s physical, social, dietary, and other needs.
Programs and Activities
There are many great opportunities at Camp Wilton. Besides meeting new people and spending time with friends, the following activities may be available to camp attendees:
- Aquatics in the outdoor pool (with lifeguard)
- Arts and crafts
- Team events
- Dances

While priority is given to individuals who have attended camp in the past (as they and their family members may rely on this opportunity), efforts are made to accommodate all new applicants. The cost of camp is $150 per person for each five-day session. Camp Wilton runs for eight sessions from June 17th to August 9th.
